30 years of Tolnatext in the business group of Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co. KG – a success story of technical textiles
On July 1, 2025, Tolnatext GmbH & Co. KG celebrates a special anniversary: 30 years ago, on 1 July 1995, the traditional company was completely taken over by Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co. KG in the course of privatization. Since then, Tolnatext has been part of our family business as a sister company. In the years that followed, the company form was adapted – Tolnatext Kft. became the current limited partnership Tolnatext Bt. It has its headquarters in Tolna/Hungary.
With a company history of 127 years, Tolnatext is one of the most traditional companies in the industry. Originally specializing in natural silk fibres, the focus shifted from the 1970s to synthetic yarns (polyester and polyamide) and their finishing by texturing, dyeing and twisting.
At the same time, the changing market demand opened up new perspectives: The idea of manufacturing technical textiles was born – and successfully implemented.
Today, Tolnatext stands for many years of experience, technical know-how and continuous further development in the production of high-quality technical fibre products – embedded in the business group of Dr. Günther Kast GmbH & Co. KG.
