Composites for packaging: Textile reinforcement materials in use
Textile reinforcement materials offer versatile ways to make paper and cardboard packaging more stable and durable. In the August 2026 issue of *bindereport*, our company and our expertise in this field were featured in an article titled “Composites for packaging”.
The focus is on composite materials that combine textile materials with paper. In particular this improves the tear and tensile strength, as well as the overall stability of the packaging, without unnecessarily increasing its weight.
“X-Bottom Bags” are presented as an example. These bags can stand upright after filling, making them suitable for a variety of products. Integrated textile reinforcement materials enhance the load capacity and enable targeted force distribution.
In addition to specific applications, the article also highlights the potential of customized composite solutions. By combining different materials, reinforcement systems can be developed that are specifically tailored to each type of packaging’s requirements.
We are pleased with the coverage in *bindereport* and are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our solutions and expertise in the field of textile composites.
